Recognising Talent and Impact: IMPOWER’s MCA Awards Finalists

At IMPOWER, we know that excellent consultancy starts with excellent people so we celebrate the individuals delivering our impact. We’re delighted to share that two colleagues are finalists at this year’s Management Consultancies Association (MCA) Awards. 

Yuvni Hirani has been shortlisted for the Rising Star Award, while Ebony Hughes has been shortlisted for Chartered Management Consultant of the Year. 

Yuvni’s nomination reflects the impressive contribution she has made in just two years at IMPOWER. As a Senior Consultant, she has delivered impact across a range of complex local government challenges, supporting councils to improve outcomes for children and families while navigating increasing demand and financial pressure. 

Her shortlisting also reflects IMPOWER’s commitment to developing talent at every stage of a consultancy career. Through structured learning and development opportunities, mentoring and clear progression pathways, we are proud to support colleagues to grow, lead and thrive. 

Reflecting on her nomination, Yuvni said: 

“It’s great to be a finalist for the Rising Star Award — it reflects the opportunity I’ve had over the last two years to work with brilliant colleagues and clients to lead and support impactful work across local government. I’m proud of the progress I’ve made in consultancy during my time at IMPOWER, and of the opportunity to help local authorities solve complex challenges and improve outcomes for children and families.” 

Ebony’s nomination for Chartered Management Consultant of the Year is equally significant. A senior colleague described her as someone who “exemplifies how to lead with heart, integrity and professionalism”. As Managing Director for Corporate Strategy and Transformation, Ebony leads on delivering ‘good savings’ for local authorities – strengthen financial resilience while improving outcomes for communities. 

Her recognition also highlights IMPOWER’s wider commitment to quality and professional excellence. As one of fewer than 50 consulting firms to adopt the Chartered Management Consultant accreditation, we are committed to delivering high-quality work, investing in professional development, and upholding the highest standards across the profession. 

On her nomination, Ebony said: 

“I’m incredibly proud to be named a finalist. For me, this recognition reflects the power of values-led consultancy – working with head and heart to help organisations deliver better outcomes, build confidence and create lasting impact. It’s also a testament to the colleagues, clients and teams I’ve had the privilege to work alongside in delivering client ambitions.”
