Heroes of 2025: Debbie Dolby, Northamptonshire Children’s Trust

We are nominating Debbie Dolby, Team Manager for a Safeguarding and Support Team in Northamptonshire Children’s Trust, as our hero of the year.

Debbie has championed the use of the Valuing Care approach in safeguarding in the trust over the last 18 months, ensuring the needs of children – and families’ capacity to meet those needs – are fully understood and central to safeguarding practice. Her proactive and flexible management approach has driven positive practice in her team and been the catalyst for similar across the West locality.

We think Debbie should be recognised as an unsung hero for her creativity, positivity and commitment to support and development of others – her work is consistently improving outcomes for children and families in Northamptonshire.
